When Things Don't Go As Planned

¢ When Your Baby Is Born Sick
    Or Premature

.................................................................
¢ Dealing With A Loss

Despite a woman's and her physician's best efforts for a healthy pregnancy, things don't always go as planned.

Parents, especially mothers, often blame themselves when a baby is born sick or prematurely, dies in the womb or dies shortly after birth. While few people discuss it openly, prematurity, miscarriage and infant loss are not uncommon.

Anxiety and depression are common after a premature birth or the loss of a baby.

If you are having trouble functioning in your day-to-day life, tell your OB/GYN or other care provider as soon as possible. St. John's is here to help you through this difficult time.
