Junior Program
We realize that each person’s training needs
are different.
Our
Junior program has been designed to meet the needs of middle school aged
kids, with personalized instruction as the main objective. At this age the
body is in a critical stage of development, and this program focuses on
improving balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility. We also try to
instill proper running, sprinting and footwork techniques with this
program.
At this age division there is some
controversy about whether weight training is appropriate. With proper
instruction and programming, strength training, in its various forms, is
very effective in reducing the risk of injury and increasing performance.
Strength & Conditioning Program
This program has been developed for improving
the strength and power aspect of performance enhancement. The exercises
used in this program place an emphasis on jumping mechanics (plyometrics),
advanced lifting techniques, core development, and injury prevention.
Athletes will learn advanced warm-up and flexibility techniques and any
preventative injury techniques needed for their particular sport or
activity. Each program is individualized based upon age, training history,
injury history, gender, physical and mental maturity.
Speed & Agility Program
This program is very specific to working on
the movement skills and techniques involved in all phases of sprinting,
change of direction and reaction drills. This program utilizes over-ground
speed training, high-speed treadmill training, resisted/assisted drills and
linear/multidirectional plyometrics that are appropriate for the athlete. We
specialize in technical development and progression for each phase of
training. This program is great for athletes needing energy system
development and conditioning.
Elite Program
This is the most comprehensive program
we offer. The program is
all-encompassing and enables our staff to train the athlete at their highest
level. This program includes all of our key training areas: strength
training, plyometrics, speed training, flexibility and injury prevention.
Each athlete will progress through the
program based on their individual rate of improvement and training status.
By watching athletes progress through all phases of training, our staff is
able to focus on those areas that will most enhance each athlete’s
potential.
