St. John’s Fitness Centers instructors are
required to have a college degree in a health-related field. In addition,
instructors must be eligible for certification as a health/fitness
instructor by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
Fitness instructors lead exercise classes,
administer fitness assessments, develop individual exercise programs for
members, monitor members while they exercise, and contract as personal
trainers for members who desire a full-time instructor.
Aerobic instructors are required to be
certified by Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Aerobic
Instructors are eligible to lead classes like group exercise, aerobic dance,
step, kick boxing and ball.
Our child care center is staffed with
individuals who enjoy caring for children. Some of the staff are
grandparents while others are working toward a degree in child development.
St. John’s is well-known for maintaining high
standards for cleanliness, and the fitness centers are no exception. We
receive frequent comments from the members and guests about how clean and
new the centers appear. This credit goes in large part to our
Housekeeping/Maintenance staff.
The fitness center office staff are here to
serve you. Whether you wish to begin or end your membership, find an answer
to a membership or billing question, schedule a fitness assessment, or
simply check in, the office staff are here to help you.
