Our child care center is staffed with
individuals who enjoy caring for children. Some of the staff are
grandparents while others are working toward a degree in child development.
Please sign your children into/out of child
care noting your name, child’s name, and time of day. Children must sanitize
their hands when they enter the child care room. Parents will be notified
when the two-hour time limit for child care is up.
St. John's Fitness Centers' child care should
not be used for children you are babysitting. Parents will be called for
infant feeding and diaper changes. At least one parent must be on the
fitness center premises when their children are in child care. Toys from
home should not be brought to child care. Children using child care should
be fully clothed (including socks and shoes) while in child care. Time will
be limited for children who are disruptive.
Sick Kids
As stated in Missouri's licensing rules for
child day care centers, “Children shall be observed for contagious diseases
and other signs of illness not only on arrival but all through the day.
Children who are suspected of having any illness shall not be accepted for
care.”
When a child becomes ill, the parent will be
notified and requested to come for the child immediately. We specify that a
child with a fever (99 degrees or above axillary or 100 degrees above
orally) or contagious illness such as chicken pox, strep throat, etc., may
not be brought to the child care center, or if the child has had a fever
within the last 24 hours.
