St. John’s offers a nationally acclaimed Primary Stroke Center which provides patients with leading-edge neurological care. St. John’s quality leadership in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients earned the hospital recognition from the American Academy of Neurology.

The academy named St. John’s as one of only 17 hospitals chosen to participate in a Stroke Patient Improvement Network created to benchmark quality  of stroke care across America.

St. John’s multidisciplinary team approach focuses on strategic stroke care, which involves treating stroke when symptoms are first noticed and following up with patients after treatment.
