Infection Control

St. John’s recognizes how important infection control is to ensuring our ability to provide patients with quality health care.

Infections acquired in hospitals complicate disease, cause distress to patients and families, and can sometimes lead to patient death.

To reduce the risk of health-care acquired infections, St. John’s complies with current CDC hand hygiene guidelines. We also manage as sentinel events all identified cases of unanticipated death or major permanent loss of function associated with a health-care acquired infection.

St. John’s is proud to have effective infection control practices and processes in place to minimize risk to patients.
