Jan. 31, 2002

St. John's Hammons Heart Institute and the American Heart Association will recognize former cardiac patients who have made remarkable lifestyle changes since their heart incident at the 12th annual Ozarks King and Queen of Hearts ceremony at 5 p.m. Feb. 5 at Hammons Heart Institute, located on the main St. John's campus in Springfield.

Ten nominees from cardiac rehabilitation affiliates of St. John's Hammons Heart Institute will gather with family and friends to find out who will wear the crown. A panel of three judges  a cardiac care nurse, a dietitian and a representative of the American Heart Association  will review the nominations and select the king or queen.
