Marilyn Bauer named Cancer Research For the Ozarks

Marilyn Bauer, RN, has been named the director of Cancer Research For the
Ozarks, a collaborative effort between CoxHealth and St. John's Health System.
Cancer Research for the Ozarks is funded through a National Cancer Institute
grant to enroll members of our community in cancer prevention and treatment
trials. It is the combined effort of more than 70 dedicated community clinical
investigators including surgeons, family practitioners, gynecologists,
urologists, internists, oncologists and dentists all joining together to bring
the latest cancer research to the Ozarks.
Marilyn has been with St. John’s for 31 years, most recently serving as St.
John’s Cancer Center’s Oncology Program Coordinator.
Marilyn joined St. John’s as an instructor at St. John’s School of Nursing and
served as a staff nurse, nursing supervisor and chairperson /administrator for
St. John’s Health System’s Institutional Review Board (IRB).
She received her Bachelors in Nursing degree at University of Arkansas and
completed a Masters In Education at Drury University and a Masters in Health
Care Administration at Southwest Baptist University.
