Community turns out for open house tours

About
1800 people toured the new St. John's Emergency Trauma Center and Imaging Center
on a brisk Saturday, Jan. 22. Staff and physicians provided educational tours
through the new facility.
St. John's Imaging Center, located on the second floor of the new building, will
open to patients Jan. 27. The Emergency Trauma Center will open at 7 a.m. Feb.
1, 2005.
Emergency nurses and other clinicians will go through annual competency testing
and a skills fair Jan. 25 and 26.
Although the training is an annual event, this year is more crucial because of
the new equipment and facility, says Emergency Trauma Center educator Teresa
Hulsey, RN. The transition to the new facility, particularly from Jan. 31 to
Feb. 1, will be challenging, but is well-choreographed says Emergency Trauma
Center Director Constance Donovan, RN.
