¢ Certain insomnia patients may be referred to a sleep psychologist for a six-week behavioral insomnia treatment program modeled after a successful program used at Harvard Medical Center.

¢ ENT specialists may be referred to for treating airway problems.

¢ Dietitians and exercise specialists may be referred to for weight reduction and control, such as St. Johns' New Images program.

¢ Dentists and/or oral surgeons may be referred to regarding methods to improve jaw and tongue positioning to assist keeping the airway open during sleep.

¢ Other medical specialists may be referred to relevant to the type of sleep disorder diagnosed.
