Medical Library Mission Statement

The mission of the Medical Library is to provide quality information services and resources for those affiliated with St. John's Health System. Library services and resources are directed toward health care professionals to enable them to provide excellent patient care and to support their continuing education needs.

By collaborating with the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, the Medical Library expands its access to a wide range of resources. Materials are shared through lending and borrowing from a wide network of both medical and non-medical libraries.

The Medical Library Advisory Council works with the library staff to improve the resources and services of both St. John's Libraries.   Council members meet quarterly to discuss library-related issues, provide advice and make suggestions to benefit all St. John's library customers.
