Co-Worker
Campaign
THE NEED IS NOW!

St. John’s co-workers share
a common spirit of giving … the Mercy spirit. In times of crisis or great need,
St. John’s co-workers have always come together to rally for a cause.
Over the past four years alone, physicians and co-workers have contributed
more than $1.5 million to St. John’s Foundation for Community Health and
United Way funds.
This support improves health in a variety of ways. Highlighted below are
many areas that benefit from St. John’s physician and co-worker
contributions in the past.
Areas of Excellence
St. John’s is adding state-of-the-art facilities and patient-friendly
services to ensure our community’s health needs are met. Our continued focus
on service, clinical quality and patient safety requires financial and human
resources. Over the next few
years, St. John’s expects to continue major
capital improvements.
Plans include completion of a patient tower at St. John’s Hospital in
Springfield; expanded cancer services in Lebanon and Springfield;
technological improvements in the areas of neuroscience and emergency
medicine; additions to Children’s Hospital services and the opening of a
heart hospital on the north side of St. John’s Hospital campus.
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE & RESEARCH
Donations and scholarships support our mission of improving patient health
and quality of life by enabling St. John’s to attract and train
highly-skilled, compassionate caregivers. Support is needed at St. John’s/SBU
College of Nursing and Health Sciences and
St. John’s Emergency Medical Services, Radiology and Anesthesia schools.
Resources generated through medical research efforts can provide
state-of-the-art treatment options for patients.
MERCY MISSION
St. John’s has a number of funds that help us meet our mission of improving
community health, specifically helping those who live in poverty, are
vulnerable or at risk. Donations help provide assistance to the working poor
and elderly who are unable to purchase prescribed medication, support
co-workers in the outreach ministries of the Sisters of Mercy, assist
community agencies that help struggling families with numerous issues and
provide relief to co-workers and others in times of crisis. |
