"My mother, Kitty
Greenburg, moved to Springfield from the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1998
at the age of 85. I was happy to be able to inform her about PremierPlus
and she agreed to enroll. For six years she received services mainly
from her physician’s office but also had two Emergency Room visits.

"(My mother) was
impressed with the chapel and the opportunity for daily
Mass at Mercy Villa." |

In December 2004,
she was hospitalized for emergency surgery and spent about a week at the
hospital. On discharge she was eligible for skilled nursing due to her
need for physical therapy.
The skilled nursing unit at St. John’s
Hospital was full and we were offered other options. We chose Mercy
Villa because Kitty had said on several occasions that, if her health
failed, she thought she would like to go to Mercy Villa. She was
impressed with the chapel and the opportunity for daily
Mass.
Kitty was no longer
eligible for special Medicare coverage after 20 days but chose to stay
at Mercy Villa due to the care she needed. She has now been at Mercy
Villa over two years and is able to enjoy the many activities, including
daily Mass. PremierPlus continues to be of assistance to Kitty with her
medications and hospital and doctor’s visits.
Thank you all for
the peace of mind you have provided!”
