Support Groups & Programs
..................................................................................................................................................

Each person copes with a cancer diagnosis in different and unique ways. You may find coping with your diagnosis an overwhelming experience.

People diagnosed with cancer and their families may find it difficult to cope at some time during a cancer experience. If this occurs, it may be time to reach outside your family and social circle for assistance.

You may want to talk with a cancer survivor. You can meet survivors at support groups or ask a member of your team to match you with a survivor who shares your diagnosis, concerns or interests.

St. John’s has a number of professionals and support group opportunities. The following are available to help you learn and respond to the psychological, social, spiritual, emotional and practical impacts of cancer.

St. John’s Cancer Center's support services coordinator can provide additional information about support groups to assist you and your family. Call 417-820-3324 or 800-432-2273 for assistance.
